RnB prince Jay-R joined the bandwagon of local artists releasing Christmas albums this season. Though he is probably the last local artists to release a Christmas album, he is not lagging behind in the market. Copies of his album are moving out of the shelves fast.

Jay-R offers an RnB sound and "nice-to-the-ears" rendition of 14 traditional and contemporary Christmas songs.

With so many albums by local artists out in the market having brisk sales, it is no doubt that the Philippine music industry is getting back in shape again despite the existence of piracy.

Lani's latest album release, THE GIFT OF CHRISTMAS, features her own rendition of 12 timeless Christmas songs.

The album was released just this Friday and I immediately grabbed a copy of it last night. Para sulit ang ibinayad kong P350, I'm posting all the songs here so you can also listen to them.

The album package also includes a separate CD which includes all of the 12 songs in minus one format.

I bought Martin Nievera's latest Christmas album shortly after it was released in the market. It's a compilation of 18 of Martin's original and revival hits. This is his second Christmas album since he first released one 20 years ago.

Martin's songs can truly make your Christmas special.

Of all the songs in the album that I've downloaded, this one is so far the best...since I first heard Bugoy sing this song weeks ago, I knew it's going to be a big hit! It's a Tagalog love song and it doesn't sound baduy. Broken hearted and soon-to-be broken hearted, well good for those guys who can survive, will love this song!

of the 200 songs, i would recommend that you try listening to the song TWO WORDS by LEA SALONGA. it's my new discovery. the song is part of her album INSPIRED released early last year. ang ganda ng lyrics, ng interpretation ni Lea at ng music...magaan sa tainga...nakaka in-love talaga...

I recently bought a 2-CD set of instrumental music which is said to help a person in improving focus and attention while studying, making projects, writing papers and even composing e-mails.

I believe the claim is really true. Music helps a lot in studying. I got this idea from Ma'am Lilian Autida back in 2001 when she taught Music 5. Even before, I would always resort to music whenever I need to study. But I didn't have these kind of instrumental music intended for studying. For five years, I tuned in to Crossover 93.1 (Davao) whenever I study or take a nap. The fm station was my best source of jazz music.

for someone like me who finds it so hard to gain attention in studying here in singapore (probably because so many things run in my mind), i needed to find a good FM station that will suit my needs. Unfortunately, I cannot find any fm station here in singapore that could offer me the same type of music that Crossover does. i tried to access Crossover's online radio but there seems to be a problem with the connection.

In one of the school bazaars, I got a chance to see the music stall who sold a lo of instrumental music CDs for relaxation, detoxification, de-stressing, studying, etc. I didn't buy the CD at once. I kept asking lots of questions to the vendor. I even asked him to open the set so I can look at what's inside and read the "guide book" Music sounds good.... So I decided to buy it..It was sold at a discounted price anyway.

That night, as I was reading my lecture notes and sending important e-mails, I played the songs on iTunes. And I tell you, it really worked! The music was playing loud enough but I didn't feel it was noisy. In fact, it helped me concentrate more on what I'm doing.

Yes, these are the top 10 CHRISTMAS SONGS of 2007 for me...hahaha....this is not an official list from the radio stations...but these are the 10 songs which i have been playing since September this year to bring Christmas cheers...

the song ISANG TAONG LUMIPAS is dedicated to the Batch 2006.so many things have happened this year alone...but as we celebrate Christmas on the 29th, the lyrics of the song reflects very much on how we have been as a batch...may ibang di namin makakasama ngayon pasko, may tumaba, may pumayat, may nagtampuhan...pero sa pagsapit ng Pasko, kami pa rin ang magkakasama...

Michael Buble's I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS has been my one true love! kung dati, kinakanta ko lang siya dahil maganda siyang kantahin, ngayon dinidibdib at damang-dama ko na ang mga titik sa kantang ito...title pa lang, tumatalab na...

SA ARAW NG PASKO has been my all-time favorite...i've been singing this since I was in grade four and the song never fails to cheer me up and touch my heart until now. totoo nga naman ang sinasabi ng Pasko.. "Di ba't kayganda sa atin ng Pasko, naiiba ang pagdiriwang dito. Pasko sa atin hahanap-hanapin mo, walang katulad dito ang Pasko."

This is a wonderful album of Christian songs for meditation or even for studying. i've been playing these songs since i've started reviewing for my exams. very enlightening and sweet...you'll never go wrong with these songs!

i am actually looking for more Christian songs...i can't download from Limewire here in Singapore because it's illegal. if i get caught, i might have to pay $100 or even more. i can only download from multiply albums or receive files that are sent to me. if you have, please send them to me. i'd really appreciate it!
